Quality & Sourcing
From Sri Lanka's Cinnamon Belt to Your Supply Chain
Every batch of CeySpice cinnamon is sourced, processed, and quality-checked in Sri Lanka. Here's how we maintain the standard you need.
Where Our Cinnamon Comes From
Sri Lanka's southern coastal belt, spanning the Galle, Matara, and Hambantota districts, is the heartland of global Ceylon cinnamon production. The combination of tropical climate, specific soil conditions, and centuries of cultivation expertise makes this region uniquely suited to producing the world's finest cinnamon.
CeySpice sources from established cinnamon-growing areas in this belt. The bark is hand-harvested and processed by experienced cinnamon peelers using traditional techniques that preserve the delicate, layered quill structure unique to Ceylon cinnamon.

Our Quality Process
Quality isn't a single checkpoint. It runs through every stage from source to shipment.
Source Selection
We work with cinnamon growers in Sri Lanka's established cinnamon-growing regions. Raw bark is evaluated for species authenticity and initial quality.
Processing Oversight
Bark peeling and quill formation follow traditional Sri Lankan methods. We monitor processing to maintain consistency in quill quality and appearance.
Grade Verification
Every batch is graded according to established SLSI standards. Quill diameter, color, and bark quality are verified before packaging.
Packaging & Storage
Product is packaged in controlled conditions to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. Storage follows food-grade handling requirements.
Pre-Export Inspection
Final quality check and documentation review before shipment. Export paperwork is prepared in compliance with Sri Lankan and U.S. requirements.
Shipping & Documentation
Full export documentation accompanies every shipment, including certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates, and grade specifications.
Grading Standards
Ceylon cinnamon grading follows established industry standards set by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) and international spice trade conventions. Grades are determined by quill diameter, bark thickness, color, and overall appearance.
CeySpice adheres to these grading standards strictly. Each shipment is grade-verified before export to ensure the product matches what was quoted and sampled.
Certifications & Compliance
We are working toward industry-standard food safety certifications and can share our current compliance status directly. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
All exports comply with Sri Lanka Export Development Board regulations and U.S. import requirements for food-grade spices.
